Gain Notes for Revolution 260
	
JEM-X1: A very interesting revolution with fine gain smoothing. All data from 
this revolution should be useable, except possibly in the settling periods
where gain is changing rapidly. 
The first two points of each data set are the partial switch-on with the High 
Voltage 3 steps below its nominal value.

Towards the end of the revolution there is a short unplanned switch off which
results in unambigous rapid settling of all four sources after reactivation.
However, the unit was reactived incorrectly at a higher High Voltage setting
than it should have been, resulting in gain that is far too high. This is
rapidly corrected a little later, with the gain  suddenly falling back to its
optimum level. The period with the erroneous high value of HV is now designated
a Bad Time Interval by ISDC, and the analysis software will disregard science
data from this period: IJD= 1796.20 to 1796.40. 

However, j_cor_gain 6.3 could
not fit the last part of the revolution, after the second re-activation, so
archived data from this revolution after IJD=1796.37 should be avoided.
Reprocessing these last science windows with OSA 5.1, or later versions, is
strongly recommended.
