Gain Notes for Revolution 483 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. The period between IJD= 2463.05 and 2463.07 is now officially declared a Bad Time Interval (BTI): a 1 kSec science window was performed with only one anode segment out of four activated as an experiment. JEM-X2: This unit was activated in this revolution and the preceeding one strictly for experimental engineering purposes. The onboard software for this revolution was uploaded so that the instrument had the same configuration as in revolution 170. Therefore the onboard tables, rejection criteria etc. do not match the matured state of the instrument as it stands in this revolution. Science data from this revolution with therefore be considerably compromised in its gain calibration and sensitivity determination, and should not be used for scientific purposes. Though the gain smoothing has worked admirably, there are signs of other engineering experiments that will degrade the quality of the science data: multiple changes of HV value, a time zone only 17 minutes long etc. DO NOT USE THIS DATA FOR SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES. This entire revolution has now officially been declared a BTI for this instrument, that is to say IJD= 2460.80 to 2463.80. CAO 10/11/2006 JEM-X2: New Xe analysis added after creation of new IMOD epochs for JEM-X2 unit. This included new reference calibration channels that raised the average Xe line position for the revolution from 28.6 keV to 29.4 keV. CAO 19/10/2007
